You sir are mistaken. It's not a... bad (I wouldn't really consider it good either though..)... album, but it doesn't go anywhere near AiC with Layne.

The new album isn't so great, without Layne Staley on the vocals, it's just "another Rock & Roll album".

How many listens did you give the album? Your Decision - tune.

To be honest, I can't see any reasons for any AiC fan not to rate the new album highly.

And anyone who doesn't like the new singer, give me a good reason. "he's not Layne" is not a good reason, because live, he has the passion energy of Layne, and the sound is superb - revamped Alice In Chains. nothing has sold out, nothing has been changed really, it's just a solid AiC album which doesn't deserve a bashing. It's no Dirt, but it's not far off...
