Anyone ever listen to this album? It's listed as "noise" and "post-punk". I don't hear the trademarks of post-punk I've heard in bands like The Sound and The Smiths but I can see how it got that tag (mainly referring to instrumentals). Here's a little review I wrote for RateYourMusic on it: Quote
Blew me away. Took a lot of elements I've heard elsewhere -- mainly "noise punk" and "noise" in general -- and executed in a very listenable way. The guitar playing is just assume, the frantic pace of the songs captures everything good about punk, in my opinion, the bombastic vocals fit it just perfectly (remind me of the Ramones, only less "poppy"). I listened to their release "Songs About Fucking" a year or two ago and didn't enjoy it so much but after listening to this one I think I owe it to the band to give it another shot.
Unfortunately I don't have any favorite tracks because I listened to it with my media player organized but I do want to point out I enjoyed the entire album and think it was a very "complete" album. The fact that this is their debut album scores them some extra points. Best album I've listened to in about a month or two (new album, that is).
