Haven't read all 10 pages, so if I post anything someone else has suggested, sorry.. But I do agree with Yuki Kajiura, makes some incredible soundtracks.

Anyways, here are some suggestions:

Hello! Project (Look this up.. it's a collection of a ton of Jpop girl groups all under one umbrella. Morning Musume is the flagship group of H!P, so if you've never heard of MM you should check them out. Literally dozens and dozens of groups there)
Ayumi Hamasaki - Jpop
B'z - Jrock
Remioromen - Jrock/pop
TM Revolution - Jrock/pop
Pink Lady - 70s / 80s Jpop/dance/disco
Wink - 80s / 90s Jpop
AKB48 - Jpop
Perfume - Jpop
Akina Nakamori - 80s Jpop
Hiroko Yakushimaru - 80s Jpop (heavenly voice for real)
Dream - Dance/Jpop/Eurobeat
Jero - Enka
GAM - Jpop
Hinoi Team - Jpop/Eurobeat
X Japan - Metal
Namie Amuro - Jpop
Do As Infinity - Jrock/pop
Aming - 80s Jpop/folk
Gackt - Jrock/pop
Hangry & Angry - Jrock/gothic/pop/dance
Ken Hirai - Jpop/R&B
HALCALI - Hip-Hop/Jpop
Heartsdales - Jpop/hip-hop
Soul'd Out - Rap/hip-hop
Yuki Maeda - Enka
Melody. - Jpop
Puffy AmiYumi - Jrock/punk/pop
Sharam Q - Jrock/pop
SMAP - Jpop

K.. list getting long, but that's a lot, I'd have to look at my mp3 or search the internet harder to think of many more anyways haha.

Edit: I forgot I was gonna post a video. I'm really biased to the 80s, sorry if you aren't. But like I said, Hiroko Yakushimaru has one of the best voices I've ever heard:

I also saw someone else posted Dream, good on ya! Probably my favorite electronica type Jpop group. Their first two albums are sexy. Btw a few of the groups/artists I posted are some of the highest selling artists of all time in Japan. If you got more questions about any of them.. just PM me or something.

Oh and I think I saw in one of your posts that Korean is ok too. Well, I'm not very into Korean, but there is one group that has REALLY caught my interest lately. I think they are really talented, they aren't the typical girl group, they are actually professional level dancers and singers and have real talents unlike a lot of others.. They have an interesting style too, mixing a lot of pop/dance/hip-hop/rap elements together, I think they are gonna be pretty succesful. Anyways, the group is called After School, they are still pretty new so not too much singles to choose from yet:

Definitely worth checking out.

Wow, lots of stuff to look up & check out.

I don't care how old or new it is, that won't play any factor in if I like how it sounds or not.
