Prime example of why I love these guys lol.

1. i dont have, or intend on buying, a record player
2. i cant listen to a vinyl in my vechile
3. i cant upload a vinyl into my ipod
4. they are to big
5. i can see mabye collecting them as a hobby
6. cd are a lot more practical nowadays

i have friends who do the whole vinyl thing. i personally think its lame. but whatever, who am i to judge right?

my friend blows all his money he has on vinyls, but he has some sick have heart ones that i'd like to steal from him ^^

So what are the advantages to having vinyl over CD's then (other than maybe sound quality and those who collect them)? You can collect CD's too so what's so great about vinyls?

Realistically... CD's can last for years if you take care of them. CD's work with just about everything so why bother switching?

(I'm being serious so I'm curious why vinyl is so much better in your opinion).

1. cds and vinyls cost pretty much the same
2.The artwork looks better on vinyl packaging
3. Vinyls usually have limited pressings, so they are more fun to own and collect

I don't really see a problem with people prefering cds over vinyl but I still fail to understand why some people wouldn't even consider bying vinyl

look, there is nothing wrong with having vinyl or a cd. i personally dont give two shits about owning any vinyls... they dont appeal to me. the one thing i can pick up on "vinyl collecters" are their attitude. which, yours is clearly being shown as generic as the rest of them. "dude cd's quality isnt to the pin point of excellence, so i still buy vinyl. only true music lovers do this, its just the awesome thing to do." fuck all that noise, do you buy $40 jeans over $250 jeans because of quality too?

you're not making a point here at all. mabye, just mabye, if music was my number one hobby id be into that scene. but i grew up around music, i see how much being in a band and trying to "live the dream" can totally fuck over your life. this is why i dont support a lot of my friends bands, nor do i even attempt to start one.

anyways, enough of ranting. two cents.
