*nods*  I'll give you that.

I dunno; the whole "Industrial Metal" camp is weird to me.

At first, the term co-opted already existing bands (like Chemlab, 16 Volt, Cubanate, etc. etc. etc.), but then, they started adding OTHER bands from other existing genres (pretty much, all of the Neue Deutsche Härte genre), THEN they starting adding bands that (imo) sound WAAAY more Metal than anything else.

I do realize that there's enough of a body of people using the term that it's not going to go away, but the whole movement is weird to me.  Like growing up, learning your whole life that "this is an apple," only to one day find out that there's this whole generation of people calling it a Red Groundfruit From Trees, and in addition to apples, they're lumping in other fruits to the Red Groundfruit From Trees family.

well, like i said, when you start blurring the lines, it gets confusing. an apple used to be just an apple, but if you mix it with a potato its something new thats both an apple and a potato, yet neither. you can either call it an apple, a potato, or an apple-potato.

That's a fair analogy. I think my biggest grievance with the nascent "Industrial Metal" genre is that too many of its proponents acted like Industrial Metal is the phylum, rather than a genus.

All that said: how 'bout we get back to the @ss-kicking? Some Power Noize for you fine folks. ^_^
