unfortunately merch is where a lot of the money is made from the "underground" music scene the merch websites are fucking ridiculously gay and expensive they charge you separate shipping + handling on everything they wanted to charge me like 75 dollars for 3 tank tops



and this works but it's hard to get to every show + just as expensive since you have to then pay for the show and drive etc sometimes I just want a fucking shit to support the band but you always end up paying some middle man somewhere to do it

Well i'm not going to a show to just get merch. I go to shows to enjoy them. I used to buy a lot of band shirts, which I still own. But the shirts I buy nowadays at shows are only from bands I REALLY like. (i.e. Full Blown Chaos, Terror, Blood for Blood, Madball, some local bands etc...), so if it costs $10-$20 to get a shirt I really want, seems worth it to me.

what sites? it's not the shipping fees that are a pain it's the "handling" they charge separate S&H for each shirt even though we all know they are throwing all 3 into 1 fucking box and handing it to fedex



ya it usually is for me as well the problem is I don't get to see many shows anymore the smaller shows I go to are all local/friends bands so I spend my money on them for support and when I go to bigger shows the merch is like 35 bucks a shirt which fucking sucks especially when the tickets are 3-4x more expensive as well

I wanted to get some hardcore tanks I had a terror, the ghost inside, and first blood shirts picked out but fuck paying some website 75 bucks for them

$35 a shirt? damn. shirts weren't even that expensive here when I went to see metallica or slayer. and they are always more expensive at stadium shows.

I saw deftones and dillinger in Vegas and it was like 30-35 a shirt there

my Slayer shirt from the big 4 was 35 bucks
