Maybe now... but if you want to understand what edge really is, look back in the late 80s and early 90s with bands like Integrity. A lot of the edge of today gives the old edge meaning a bad name. Today it seems more of a style than anything for a majority, but not all people.

Unlike bands now who promote being edge, earlier edge people, like the singer for Integrity, were edge for their own reasons. He was an addict previous to being edge and had some problems in the past. He hated/hates anyone who follows him being an edge for no particular reason. Back in the day, edge people were no where to be found. You would never know if someone was edge because no one really promoted it.

As I said, edge back in the day held some meaning and purpose, where as today it seems to be nothing more than a fad or style.

i didnt go to edge day because of anything to do with "edge". I went because I liked the bands that played. Some people today still hold the old edge values, but I do recognize the fact of how lost its becoming.

ya I feel ya we've all been to shows like that to see some bands we liked hell I've been to a fair few bullshit warped tours to see NOFX etc
