Yeah, I see. Well, that last 2 of both of my last recommendation posts are quite uplifting; especially Ólafur Arnalds, The Best Pessimist and Winds of Sorrow. I guess Winds of Sorrow is the only non-depressive project by Mort from New Zealand.

I like how you like Hordah Blaästhiir, I simply adore his music. The sound has a very theatrical sound, distuingishable from everything else I've heard (In Ces Cerveaux Immondes bla bla bla...).

Try When Mine Eyes Blacken too, if you haven't already. Mort from that project is on my profile pic, just because I think When Mine Eyes Blacken is the only band I think has succeeded in making a truly flawless album. And it must be beyond perfect for me to say that about an album.

The only bit of music I've grabbed since I've been at my mom's this past week, had heard about it before but never got into it until now. Certainly not an uplifting album but something about it is very relaxing.
