a good crowd always makes or breaks a show



that's because out here no one takes FSU seriously so they don't try the extreme tough guy hardcore act

in LA you go to a lot of show with surenos and crips from compton and shit so FSU members tend not to start anything because a beatdown sucks, getting shot or shanked in the parking lot is worse

SB is a much chiller scene though I wanted to go to Sound and Fury pretty bad this year the lineup was unmatched

It was funny. I'm not exactly the hardest bastard, and even still I was probably in the top 10 for beating ass during S&F. I like CA more. Might be moving to SB in January with my buddy.

if you do let me know I currently live about 45 minutes south of SB and will hopefully transferring to UCSB after this next semester

CA has a really split music scene our metal heads don't mix with our hardcore kids much etc and if you live in SB be prepared for a lot of Candy kids and new wave hippies that listen to Sublime nonstop

still it's an awesome city I'm trying to move there around the same time as you if all goes well

I don't do hipsters and hippies. Way too edge and hateful for that bullshit. ugh

in fact the West Coast might not be for you edge is pretty much a bad joke out here we have medical marijuana people are very open to drugs out here edge kids tend not to fit in especially in our music scene

no one gets more shit than the chrsitian vegan straight edge faggots (IE: the devil wears prada kids)

but if you aren't one of those uppity edge kids, like if you can be at a party and just not drink and not say anything you could do alright but almost everyone I know does some sort of drug and people out here don't understand edge at all because we all consider it a self defeating argument

like if you are edge then you better not ever take any sort of medicine because those are drugs and you not being a doctor or any sort of expert are in no position to judge what drugs are medicinal and which aren't <--- common sort of thing said to edge kids that I know

i know some straightedge people but they are more towards LA. i have a lot of friends living in SB this year and they are the opposite of you Collin, haha. SB is a huge party scene. huge. ravers and drugs and drinking everywhere. the first time i went i went to isla vista and i was literally stumbling into parties on fucking accident and there were people straight up doing lines in the bathroom... like openly. I was like.. please take me home haha. it's dirtyyyy in IV. ucsb is a little nicer tho but still very associated with IV. try not to go to sbcc though

im not straightedge but I don't drink and people hardcore pressured me to drink and do shit every time Ive been to sb... kids are kinda douchey and perverted there

that being said i know there is a little hardcore scene in SB but i know shit about it..

All my friends pound blunts haha. I was at a party 2 nights ago. I'm used to all that shit from high school so it's whatever for me. I just hate how annoyingly brain dead hippies are. They annoy me. At Sound & Fury there were tons of edge kids. It was surprising.

Original edge, like in the Integrity era, is the real edge. There aren't a lot of those kind of edge people left.

When I want to go see a hardcore show, I want to see hardcore bands.

thats because all edge kids from everywhere in socal or cali in general travel to s&f ;O

honestly there aren't a shit ton of hippies in SB... like there's a few but other places have sooo much more. berkeley for example lol
