As far as posicore goes, I like Have Heart, and the message they bring. And I am a fan of pop punk, I cannot wait to see New Found Glory this summer..

That is fun for me lol. NY is angry place, I'm pretty sure you witness it in cali. Hardcore here, we get mean, we get beat the fuck out of eachother, we smile in the end. Every day things that a lot of people get pissed about, they use that at hardcore concerts. Im pretty sure that goes around everywhere.

not here for the most part unless you go to the big festivals

local shows almost always end up in fights and sometimes stabbings you leave with the people you came with and the whole "brotherhood" part of hardcore is mostly a joke out here

but meh that's LA/Oxnard for you

Sucks for shows out there then, thats the fun of "traditional" hardcore, you can beat the shit out of people around you and vice versa, and people dont get pissed. Its just part of genre. At least it used to be.

I wish I could go I live around an hour south of Santa Barbara but that weekend I'll be in vegas

that's also the same weekend as Summer Slaughter in Hollywood so lots of shit going on



we never really got much into the "traditional" hardcore our hardcore spawned out of bands like suicidal tendencies and part of California culture is the if I don't know you then fuck you mentality especially in the last 30 years

shows aren't like a pinnacle of violence though there are stabbings at at least half of the parties I go to in Oxnard it's just how it goes

depends on where you live and what you do I don't live in Oxnard but I love going down there it's just around here everyone has that chip on their shoulder people are so used to fighting over nothing that no one even tries to stop it anymore I've been stabbed/sliced 3 times in the last 5 years it's not fun but it's life
