All great posts, Dylan! The Shpongle song was really something, do you know where I could get that? Doof also stood out for me, very energetic stuff.

Thanks much! :D As for the Shpongle, as of now I have no clue where to find it unfortunately. I will search some torrents and see if I can find anything and report back. I didn't even know Simon did anything with Alan Parsons or whoever it is (seems disputed in the Youtube comments) but I did enjoy it as well. I especially love the voice at the beginning, very reminiscent of The Seventh Revelation song Shpongle made for a crystal skulls themed compilation CD.

Doof is awesome too, I don't know if he still makes music but that song is from like 1994 or something. Sometime back on Dragonfly records when Hallucinogen and him were labelmates, at the beginning for Simon when he was still an audio engineer. (pre-Twisted Records) His sound is definitely very nice, a pure kind of trance sound in my imagination. He also produced a good bit of music during that time so I'm sure he still does SOMETHING, he has to, he's quite talented.

Simon Posford will be in Baltimore tonight playing a Shpongle DJ set. I want to go so fucking badly but it's pretty expensive and I can't find anybody who will put down the cash to go with me. Seeing as I'm probably gonna be at home during a wild show, I have to post a Shpongle song in honor of it. :D

:o I would kill to see Shpongle! From what I hear, those DJ sets are pretty rare.

Yeah, I hadn't heard of Twisted booking much shows at all around the US, only a couple here and there, for a long time. It seems they've picked up the pace, though, with their business in the decline. Simon came last year to do a Shpongle DJ set with Younger Brother and Prometheus and it was a fucking amazing show, definitely my favorite I've seen but I'm biased I guess haha. From what I heard, tonight it was just going to be Simon and some Baltimore DJs which is kind of an insult to Shpongle in my opinion :D but it still would have been a lot of fun.

Anyway, I would have gone if I could find just one other person to go with but it was $35 for tickets; last year it was $20 which seems a lot easier to come by for most people. So, yeah, I'm definitely disappointed because it's not common for sure and I also missed Infected Mushroom recently but I'm hoping he might make it around once more in my lifetime haha. I'd REALLY like to see them with the live band of like 9 guys and Raja on flute. They've only done that probably 5 times max but I met a guy here on JSP who said he saw them in London on Halloween with the full band. That show was supposed to be fucking nuts. He said he didn't know Shpongle too well but it was his favorite show he's been to. Gotta catch tickets to one of those if at all possible haha. ;)

Yeah Infected is definitely on my must-see list, they're the ones who got me into psychedelic music in the first place  I would love it if they only played their old dark spooky stuff, but most likely when I see them they're going to be promoting their more pop-ish material. Speaking of, have you heard the new album? I haven't even gave it a chance yet tbh, I heard part of one song and wasn't impressed. I'm still gonna grab it anyways, Infected always seems to have some redeeming quality to their songs no matter how far they've gotten from where they started.
