SWM is satanic warmaster? That band is for teenagers

lmao are you fuckin serious

Listen to their new songs on Lux Sathanae

plus lots of other good ones, like, Chant of the Barbarian Wolves, Dead Light of a Lost Star, One Shining Star, Carelian Satanist Madness, etc

Werewulf isn't very consistent but he has about 10 very solid songs I'd say

man, Summoning is much more sophisticated than Abigor, I don't feel that aggressivity too much, if I do I usually just listen to ole Dimmu Borgir or SWM etc, don't even listen to Immortal anymore

Summoning songs like, Runes of Power, Land of the Dead, Old Mornings Dawn, etc, I really love Summoning, been listening to them since I was 16 right after Oathbound came out, trust me your aggro will wear off and you'll eventually like Summoning more, if you're intelligent anyway

the main theme for Summoning is Glory, I'd say, like in the song A Distant Flame Before The Sun, that one is very glorious, their songs are Solemn too, don't you just like Die Verbannten Kinder Evas too? I love that band too, Misery is my favorite from them, terrible live performance they just came out with though, I guess their band name means "The Banished Children of Eden", which is the title of their only live album, which they actually recorded quite a while ago, just released it though. Silenius' real voice is actually a little nerdy haha, Protector of course didn't speak during the live performance.

Haha, doesnt surprise me, with the vocals he does. But i guess that what's makes it good and unique.it's not also only a question of aggression, it's a matter of taste aswell, none can like the same thing at the same level. Anyway, i do like alot Symphonic and Melodic stuff even more than the raw stuff. If you really like dimmu borgir you should give a try to some others Symphonic acts.

i don't mind symphonic bands, but most of the time they just get it wrong and it turns me off, wondering if you can recommend me some good ones

it's simple to play guitar with, like for example I can play Carelian Satanist Madness, One Shining Star, Eaten by Rats, etc, just decided to learn a bit randomly, and I'm no real guitar player. It's those inverted power chords that make them very exquisite and I'd say elitist, no one can invert a power chord like Werewulf, and make it tiny with melody, which is something that is needed when I listen to music, I don't like just blast beat and alternate picking 100mph

but I'll check those out, by saying elitist I mean quality, I don't mean trve kvlt necessarily btw

Also check out Winds of Mayhem's Northern Sons if you haven't already, it's a purely piano album with the singer growling a nordic theme, he's from the Greek side of Cyprus, that album is very consistent, if you got a good mp3 player

I'd consider that elitist, in quality, and also in rarity, since I randomly found it on metal tracker's front page being posted, wouldn't have found it any other way, what a gem, plus his new good song I posted at the end of the front page, now that's black metal

actually be more specific, post their best songs instead of just bands, I don't like filtering entire bands out of nowhere, I don't have much patience

I agree with that though, when bands don't use the keyboard/Synth and other stuff properly on a black metal record, it sucks even more than without it.

Well SWM is raw. not made of complexity fore sure. But doesnt make it bad at all. You should give a listen to Strength & Honour, Opferblut and Carelian Satanist Madness. All these albums contains great stuff.
in the live show they played nearly all CSM songs except My Dreams of 8 or 666 (which doesnt bothered me at all)for me at least.

here's a very good symphonic black metal song I'm sure you'll like, you probably don't know it. I only truly like that album from them though, they have four very solid songs that I kept from it. I'd say elitist
