Actually you're not far off by posting this :p. If you compare the complexity in composition alter some of the time signatures you can see similar patterns between classic (mostly neo-classic-esque) and a lot of technical types of metal. (which is all excluding nu metal - bands like Korn). I remember listening to Vivaldi a lot when I was a very young child, had a music teacher who exposed us and we all didn't give a shit but it's cool how much I remember and what it reminds me of feeling back when I was little.
