and srsly tho, every decade has good/bad shit all around. i facepalm every time someone says the 2000s+ suck (since when does music revolve around certain artists? lol).. referencing all the popular artists doesn't mean a thing or validate anyone's argument

people need to stop generalizing these certain areas of music and think it's all the same way (1980s certainly wasn't all shit, etc)

actually i don't know how talented phish's guitarist is but it's probable, i dont think mike mcready is anything special. i just think pearl jam has a long list of monumental and would-be monumental songs. even as appreciated as they are i think they would be more appreciated if they had a more definable style of music. being versatile and unique isnt always a blessing
