Cudi isn't horrid. Watching a music video doesn't describe an artist. Cudi has amazing lyrics that really get you thinking, and doesn't just rap about anything. His songs are generally about things that effect him, which are generally things that a lot of young men, and some women can relate to. Of any artists, I feel the most connected to him and 2pac.

Eminem has plenty of non-flame songs that aren't meant to attack other rapper that are plain. amazing. Stan, When I'm Gone, Mockingbird...etc to name a few. I think you have him all wrong.

I'm a huge Wayne fan. I can't say I connect to his music like Pac, nor can I say it has such a great power like with Big L, but I can say that listening to some of his songs make me feel great. He has plenty of songs that make me really listen to what he's saying, and can change my mood in a second. I love driving with some friends, sharing a blunt, and listening to shit like Duck Season, Right Above it, Man I miss my dawgs, or stuntin like my daddy. Even though they don't have amazing lyrics in the song, they just draw me in. I think that alone is a great reason as to why he is a top artist. I can't name what I like about him in particular, but he keeps me coming back for more. Rap isn't about "Pac's better than Jigga" all the time, it's about feeling connected to the music, and Lil Wayne does that for me, and a lot of people.


Call me dumb, I don't care. You can claim I don't know shit about rap when in reality I do. Different styles have different Icons, and if your to blind to realize that than you're less of a rap fan than most of us here.

and i dont think lil wayne writes his own music anymore .. he said on behind the music he doesnt write anything he just thinks it and freestyles it later .. come on he does have some extremely high calibre medaphores and similies in his song and hes pretty consistant with using them , nobodys producing as many songs as him especially without writing them, with wordplay that high all the time especially with a brain as fucked up as his from all those E bombs n methazine .. he cant even speak that well anymore
