Missed you nerds, been suspended for the past two weeks. This is my absolute favorite tune at the moment, think I've heard it before but it stood out on my walk home from work listening to Benton's j'aime le dubstep mix he did a few months ago.
Kryptic Minds - The Talisman -- evidently I can't post YouTube links at 30% warn.

Seems like there are a ton of the more classic dubstep fans in here.

Enjoying Datsik's new album. Also looking forward to Knife Party's 2nd EP sometime this month.

edit:

P.S. FuntCase EP is to die for as well.

speaking for the "classic dubstep fans" / regular posters like andross, cib , minz and i would say we just aren't fans of generally the north american aggressive take on the sound and/or midrange-heavy / centered dubstep.

not just you, it seems that a lot of people call anything that isn't the newer 'brostep' kinda tearout music or people that dont prefer it classic. dunno if that should be the case but its whatever

but me myself have seen a ton of artists like excision, datsik , funtcase, etc etc a lot of times from random fests or concerts in the past 3ish years , as well as many artists from the more deeper / darker side. the north ameican stuff always lacks basswieght and idk its just not my sound.. but i do like good tearout, it just has to be done *not* in certain ways, i dont want to sound elitist and say it has to be done "right" . funtcase was always a good fun show.he actually released an ep today under the name haze that is more minimal / dark than his funtcase stuff.

Yep. Well, I just find that the more classic and 2-step UK garage types of dubs are a bit too plain to my liking. Sure they are stilll great and have solid bass to them, it just doesnt excite my brain enough. Here and there I'd instantly like some darker / deep stuff though if the bass-line is very unique.

Haze - Spazz was the #1 tune off that new release.

Datsik, Excision, Downlink have always been top notch in my books, I just find all that heavy industrial, futuristic, mechanical stuff appealing to my ears and neurons.

A few of the darker / deeper producers I tend to like that I can name off the top of my head are: Truth, Distance, Benga, Skream, Babylon System, Von D, Mantis.

Knife Party is very impressive though. They cover a wide spectrum on the electronic genre and their solid Pendulum heritage alone gives them enough cred. That's not to say what they produce as Knife Party aren't instant bangers. Can't wait to get my hands on the Rage Valley EP.

i like that excision brings a nice system with him when he tours. i rather enjoyed playing decent music that actually makes use of it's quality on it.

nothing has ever sounded better than Mala - Alicia (og press ... and yes, i paid $80 for that record) on 100k watts
