wut kind of distortion? latency? wires? im not an expert but i have had my share of problems with a few interfaces... i dont think you would get any sound at all if it wasnt hooked up correctly. i know behringers use specific usb slots, but i dont know anything more than that. when you click your sound options, do you see the interface? if you can make adjustments on it, chances are that's all you will need to do (unless it's a hardware issue).

well i talked to somebody who knows computeres and he said asus puts a program on their computers to limit the processor speed which will dumb down certain drivers often the audio /graphics. so i looked at mine and it had my processor at minimum power 4% and maximum at 40% ... so hopefully it will record fine when the processor is at 100% power. Im gonna try later tonight .

I listen to most songs all the way through. It's awesome for sharing tunes.

explain to me this turntable.fm ... idk if i have enough time to be on that and searching for tunes like i do elsewhere , but then again it may be a good tool for me to use to find tunes

a bunch of people sit in a chat room, there are 5 slots for potential djs. when a dj slot opens, someone from the crowd is able to take a slot. each dj plays one song per turn and the audience has the option of rating the selection. u get points for +ratings and ur song could get skipped if it gets too many -'s

it's neat and all, but it's kind if irritating listening to a lot of these dance tunes all the way thru, especially when they are especially long. it's useful for discovering some tunes, but i find browsing is more suitable to my exploration needs. soundcloud, especially. genre specific stuff gets boring, i like an eclectic mix of things and none of the rooms ive visited have really sucked me in. i spent a few hrs in the ukg room, i literally heard several of the same tunes multiple times...that kind of stuff drives me crazy at the clubs, you would think people with an infinite selection of music could play some shit few people have heard before - OR YOUR OWN MUSIC.

the best part of the file sharing music communities back in the day (soulseek especially) was that so many of the users were artists themselves and could share their own music with other musicians. u dont hear dubplates or unsigned music in turntable.fm very often. i think that's really unfortunate...and even more unfortunate, it reflects what is actually happen in real dj'ing. bunch of people playing the same songs as the next person.

(holy shit that turned into a rant really fkn fast....my bad)
