Comparing DNB to Progressive Trance or House is just stupid... But back on topic!!! Im relatively new to drum and bass but i really like this one!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB4jvQsv6oM

its not stupid comparable a lot of djs will mix DnB with house / trance sometimes , and accaully alot of songs have combined breakbeats and house , it just isnt really popular
sometimes the difference between the two electornic genres can simply be beat patterns . the rest liek samples synths basslines etc could be relativly the same depending on producers styles
think about it theres tech , reggae, happy, hard, funk, dark, minimalist, heavy, "dirty filthy" influences that can all that can be found in techno, dnb, dubstep, house, breakbeat watever, you should know the music draws tons of influences from records of the past and of the present

sometimes the genre difference is simply because of the tempo/percussion pattern . . that can easily be seen in all the jump up tracks i posted, they are extremely comparable to a lot of dubstep tracks,- its just the tempo and beat patterns that seperate it . .

-- by the way frown nice suggestions in the house section

I hear ya, but just cause things are similar in some respect doesn't make them comparable without bias or personal taste imo.

I was more or less just referencing the guy who literally said an entire genre of music sucks. Never a good stance...

And thanks :)

its not always the same sampled drum line lol . .
i could say that about trance and house its all four on floor beats for the most part just different tempos
ive seen a handful of DnB djs and it hasnt gotten boring yet

That's rather correct, the beat in Trance music are similar. But the very worthy thing in trance is the melody in general.

yea well i only posted a bunch of jump up dnb
alot of music follows the same beat patterns , you come in here n try to like educate me on the fact most dnb used funk soul beat patterns all stolen from breaks particarilly that one, but i already know that lol . . its about different styles and sounds and vibes that is found within dnb
i made this thread so ppl could post some producers they know cause theyres tons of different styles of dnb and then once you get fimilar with the producers you can look at a track list of a mix and kinda predict what the vibe of the mix will be like

Never tried do to do such a thing as "educating" you.
You take it as you want.
