Those last posts you made were some of the best this site has ever seen! I have so much fucking respect for this man! His music has influenced my life in ways I cannot begin to describe. After coming out of making some of (if not, THE) most influential goa/psy albums ever, he goes straight into Shpongle and creates a rival force to Hallucinogen, not to mention being in many many more bands with amazing influence over the scene. This man IS the psy scene.
These videos were awesome, do you know which DVD they are off of? I really love that Korg MS-20, I didn't know he used it in Hallucinogen. It is also used in the Ott track The Queen Of All Everybody to vocode some singing bits, I posted it earlier in the thread, worth a listen if you're into synths. That was really awesome to him play some live stuff too, I always wondered how he did what he does.
I also agree that The Lone Deranger is my favorite Hallucinogen album (besides In Dub, though that is more Ott) and I often find myself listening to mostly tracks off of it. Jiggle Of The Sphinx, Snakey Shaker, ]Trancepotter and Horrorgram are some of my favorites. Glad to hear that you heard it, it's a must-hear CD!
Indeed, after listening to The Lone Deranger, I understand where all these sounds came from
The MS20 sounds incredible. It's got that really fat, warm bass to it that many other synths lack these days. I'd love to own one, but one in good condition is pretty rare these days

Also been wanting to get a Nord Lead 2x to start creating more oldschool psy sounds. Right now I've got an awesome MIDI and just use soft synths. Would love some more hardware though

All the awesome synths are so expensive! Concerning the studio footage, I don't know what dvd it's off of. There might be something in the description or comments area, though.
In order of Hallucinogen's albums, I'd have to say I like The Lone Deranger most, then Twisted, and then In Dub. I like the airyness of In Dub, but it's doesn't seem as energetic as the previous albums. Twisted is also pretty awesome, but the synth sounds on The Lone Deranger are what sold me. Especially in Demention, the synth from 6:13 to 6:48 is really awesome. It has a lot of definition to it, details you can really hear and enjoy. The dripping/bubbling water used in Gamma Goblins also really impressed me. I had a similar idea, before I even heard this album, but now that I've heard it done so well I'm not sure I should even try to replicate such an effect haha.
