1.) Type up a list of EVERY black metal band in existence.
2.) Delete Bathory from said list.
3.) Examine your list of boring BM examples.
4.) Post on Jsp raging about how I'm a stupid fag emo because I don't like garage recordings.

why is Bathory excluded?

Because Bathory isn't boring, they are the one band from the genre that I enjoy.

Mayhem, Burzum, Immortal, Darkthrone, Satyricon, Enslaved, Emperor, Thorns, Ildjarn, Gorgoroth, Ulver, Carpathian Forest ,Von, Judas Iscariot, Demoncy , Profanatica, Marduk, Dissection, Lord Belial, Dark Funeral, Arckanum, Nifelheim and many other less notable ones.

the first 3 Bathory albums are "garage recordings" and they are far more boring than most good 90s BM like
Darkthrone
Immortal
Gorgoroth
Burzum
Summoning
etc

I've listened to all of the above mentioned bands, but Bathory is really the only band I like from there.
Nordland, Twilight of the Gods, need I say more?
