Well, for all my fellow mental masochists, I present a presentation presented by David Firth and some other dude who produced the music. From the twisted shit of Firth: Crooked (Orcus) Rot

Woah, I didn't know David Firth made music. I've been contemplating watching salad fingers while shrooming, but haven't got the balls to do it yet. That shit would be so scary lol

Aphex is good to space out too. But, I repeat, he was a disappointment live. Too mellow.
Venetian Snares raped him in performance on Dour last year.

I have a preference for specific album tracks and track segments if I'm really listening. Namely, I can appreciate the progression in certain introductions like Trojan.Killav.E. The rest of the tune just pisses me off though to be straight. There's imaginitive differences in most of his work. You wouldn't have never heard of RDJ, listened to Vordhosbn, Lichen and then assume the same guy produced both. Or Avril 14th, on the same disc. That record alone was an experience.

Some dudes just aren't good live though. He's better than Squarepusher live... Well, all together better in like, every way.

I didn't know Amon Tobin did the Splinter Cell soundtrack, that's badass. I've heard a bit of his stuff and some of it didn't catch me right away but that tune you posted was pretty badass, very Splinter Cell-ish.

The album El Cargo is on is titled Chaos Theory with a picture of the tri goggles on the front. All of the songs on it are indeed in the game. I've owned it before. I don't think it's the official soundtrack though. I don't remember anything else I heard in the game that wasn't on Tobin's label.

El Cargo played during a ridiculously heated, exposing portion of the game (which is rare in Splinter Cell), and it actually felt nothing like the game because of the track in my opinion. It easily became my favorite though.

It's always a hit or miss situation with me. I love that Amon has fashioned a unique style for himself. Alot of it, I can't get into. I wasn't a huge fan of 4 Ton Mantis either, which is commonly the first track people listen to when they discover him.

I reccomend Cujo (Amon Tobin) - Adventures in Foam for a decent album.

Salad fingers is either histerically odd or disturbing without psychedelics. Beware the Friendly Stranger in the Boards of Canada video I posted near the bottom of page 8 is basically the theme song of Salad Fingers. Firth doesn't actually create music (I don't think). He makes fucked up videos. Check out fatpie dot com.

He also used Rhubarb from Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2 in Salad Fingers.

The second song in the epic 6 song remix album by Ott. All the tracks flow into each other. :)

Been going there for the better half of 5 years now :P Got introduced to it by a good friend freshman year of highschool. I wish he would produce animations a little faster though, the site gets kinda stale for a few months here and there. Spoilsburry toastboy has got to be my favorite series of all of his animations though, that one's got some pretty sick imagery in it. Apparently David Firth DOES make music, but maybe it just wasn't on that video. His electronic project is called Locust Toybox, I think he's got a myspace for it or something so you can check it out.

Very true.  I also have a soft spot for the Richard D. James album.

Very chill tune, I like it a lot.

These guys remind me of a band called Mouse On Mars.  It's cool stuff, I haven't heard a ton of Boards Of Canada before but I really loved that ambient beginning.  It made me feel like I was floating in space haha.

This reminds me a ton of Shpongle, which is fucking awesome!  I like it a lot, very funky, tribal and spacey music.

That is pretty interesting.  It's funny how so much of science is now just confirming what many indigenous cultures have known for centuries (not specifically this article but it's a similar situation).

Very nice options you got there haha.  Don't know a ton of the artists but I see one does nintendocore, which I love. :D  Sounds like a blast, enjoy man.

As for Aphex, I have seen some videos of him live, never actually seen him though.  It seems like hard music to see live given how sporadic the beats are if they exist, and if they don't exist, it's very ambient.

Black Label was a blast.

For those who like psy/progressive/techno trance...full on, electronic, etc.

I download my musics from the most complete site I've ever seen, check it out:

www.trancedownloader.ru

The site is written in portuguese and if you need translation, I can help you for sure, no problems.

Just send me a PM.
I can also make you suggestions of downloads. 90% of the musics you find there you won't find on youtube.

Are you talking like oldschool hardcore punk? If so, that sounds like a pretty nuts show. Glad to hear you had a good time man.
