Clicked on this thread expecting to argue with some techno-kids that Hardcore is a metal genre, and that the techno genre stole the name...
But i dont have to now.
Well done, sir.

well if you're gonna argue with kids dont compare techno and edm hardcore , techno and hardcore are both forms of EDM and are completely opposite lol. hardcore is obviously going to be very in your face and technos real minimal and deep .

whether or not the name got "stolen" (the edm hardcore deff did come later, obviously, but i dont think anybody intended to "steal" the name it just probably seemed fitting as the music was pretty , hardcore, for electronic music) doesn't mean its not still how people recognize and categorize the music so there's really no need to argue anyway. im not a fan of the music myself but im just saying theres not point wasting the time, the music doesnt really go by much else

especially because theres threads like this that has what i consider good hardcore (power violence thrash crust), and then all that other tough guy XXX , as this thread calls it mainstream, hardcore . hardcore gets thrown around a lot .

eh, that depends. sure minimal techno which seems to be a big thing now is minimal and deep, but actual techno can be really hard and close to hardcore.

anyway, lets not discuss electronic hardcore here, lets discuss hardcore punk :)

yeah, its mainly the speed that makes the difference i guess. but its a thin line^^ ive been to a few technoparties and most ended in hardcore speeds and then into breakcore. i guess one could argue hardcore is just a subgenre of techno

on topic: cant rly get into the newer Ceremony :/ really loved violence violence though
