I buy records but I only buy them really cheap. I don't have a record player set up in my room, yet, so I may be buying more when I get a setup going. I have about 150 right now.

Carboot sales man :D I picked up 2 Maiden albums in excellent condition for 40p each ;)

People who listen to metal are even worse

They ONLY listen to metal. Talk about a doughnut. I've had a hankering for vinyl for a few months but don't have to bank account to indulge.

Ya it gets tough if you are only after specifics that are rare, but you could always get a setup and a decently growing collection with a little bit of hunting at thrift stores

How close-minded are you? I have 4 friends, who are avid metal-fans. Their favourite genres are Black and Death metal, but also classical and acoustic folk. The metalheads that I have come across, have become metalheads because of the will to explore music's boundaries.

I actually just got hold of a copy of Gabriel Fauré's Requiem, played by an orchestra from Paris.

I do a little bit, i have som rare prog, psych and extreme metal vinyls.

I mainly collect all vinyls, cd singles, promo cds, music casettes etc by a Swedish band called Kent.

Their shit is expensive as fuck all so I cant really afford buying anything else atm, when I have the essential stuff by that band I may pick up collecting psych and prog vinyl again.
