The EDM scene hasn't been changed by Skrillex...1) the edm scene has always been full of 15 year olds. 2) technology has obviously made the most drastic changes in the scene.

The problem with Skrillex is that he is a 1 trick pony whose 1 trick is the equivalent of a dog shitting in your ear and he has become the face of a music scene that has a very passionate following. The same thing happened with Rusko and Borgore and Doctor P. There was an entire forum dedicated to making fun of SHITTY DUBSTEP while Skrillex was still in a fkn emo band.

Are you saying he uses a ghost producer?  I've heard two sides to this.  Some people say he does, some people say he's actually a decent producer.  I've talked to pretty well educated people about this too but apparently nobody can come to a conclusion.  Both sides usually hate his music though lol.

no. i would hope that he doesn't need one. anyone that has ever used a DAW and played with massive, im sure would not have much trouble creating that sound. a lot of the big dubstep/electro acts use massive to create that horrible sounding chainsaw noise and outside of the technical aspect of chaining effects and setting the parameters (and automations) of the LFOs and filters on the synths, there is not much musicality in it.the drum beats are very basic and,  i mean, he doesn't even use a keyboard to make his tracks.
