Tool is great. I particularly like their "middle" work I guess you could say, the newer and oldest stuff isn't as much my style but I definitely respect their musicianship and their psychedelic vibe. Maynard is a particularly good lyricist and I enjoy their techniques quite a lot, especially their time signature madness.

This thread is sure full of a lot of genre bashing though... I really love trance too, why do I have to pick between trance and Tool? I don't! Lucky me! :lol:

Lol that's so simple.
I really wish tabs didn't exist. It makes any kid who picks up a guitar think they're good.
No knowledge of time signature or key is needed.. not to mention it's completely unoriginal material being learned to play.
