I've played guitar for 5 years, and I've gotta say, programming synthesizers is incredibly difficult. Typical instruments like guitar, bass, drums, etc etc, all require physical dexterity. Synthesizers require mental dexterity. You need to be pretty sharp minded to operate and program anything good on one. So before you try and make fun of something, educate yourself, because I know damn well if somebody put a synthesizer in front of you, you would have no idea what to do with it. They're just as "Real" as any other instrument, and require years and years of dedication and practice to become any good. Anyone can pick up a guitar and learn basic power chords within a day. The same cannot be said for synths. In fact, if you want to talk about which is more user friendly and easier, I would definitely say guitars are, unless you're playing jazz, thrash, technical death metal, shred, neo-classical, something like that. Just saying, so you don't make a fool out of yourself in front of the wrong people one day.
I stand by what i said.
