i dunno, i havent listened to them in a lot time.. seemed like metalcore to me.
Hardcore is like HATEBREED, and putting alexisonfire in the same genre as HATEBREED is just a joke to me.

lol, that was there EP... it had 4 songs on it.
They obviosully changed there tune alot since they started, cos the music from them that i just listened to after typing the band name into youtube myself sounded an awful lot like metalcore

That EP is their newest release actually. Their older stuff (self-titled) was screamo, which sounds absolutely nothing like metal-core. Watch Out! and Crisis made them who they are, a hardcore band.

PS: Hatebreed? the fuck? What has hardcore come to? Hardcore stems from a harder version of punk. I know alexis isn't a prime example, but Hatebreed does not fit that description at all imo. Alexisonfire has much more of a punk influence..
