Every single fad people think it's underground. I don't know if you guys remember really around 2004 when Emo music started getting big, everyone called it underground, even though every 14 year old had a side fringe haircut that was dyed black and wore girl pants. Then when Emo began to die in 2007, Deathcore was cool for 15 minutes until they all decided to buy cardigans and listen to neutral milk hotel instead. Now it's 2011 and the new thing is Dubstep. Give it 4-5 years and there will be something else everybody who can't think for themselves likes.
I gave Dubstep a chance. It's just really boring and bassy music. I mostly listen to Electronic music now, so I figured this might be something I'd like. Nope. It's hard to enjoy something when you can't respect the musicians. There's very little if any creativity going on, and the songs are very easy to make. It's like the punk rock of electronic music. Just loud, crappy, simple shit.
not entirely true .. you gotta know where to look , mostly at labels.. you gotta weed through all the bullshit for gems .. and the deep side of the genre isnt loud at all , specially because the producers use actual sub bass and no midrange crap.. theres just mad bullshit dubstep without even real sub bass . .
i doubt yall will check out any of these songs but i would like you to say they lack creativity and were very easy to make.. these are well crafted productions and theres plenty of producers out there still trying to push a smarter sound than the hype tearout nonsense
