No, The Doors are terrible. Morrison was nothing but a shit poet, and the music is just bad - there is MUCH better material from that era of music by other groups.

And Mustaines voice is horrible everywhere, thats a given - but the band is fucking solid and the performance at Big 4 among the other 3 times i've seen them was superb. Pioneers of metal my friend

Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath were the fucking pioneers of metal. Megadeath, Iron Maiden and Metallica gave it a name and expanded on the genre, doof.

Duh - but Megadeth have also contributed just as much to metal, certainly to keeping it alive in this sea of indy pop and poof rock that has become so very popular in the last decade.

It's their "thing", they open with Holy Wars to start the mayhem of the gig, then vamp it, then do all the other songs, then revamp it at the end when he introduces everyone and says the ultimate line - "YOU'VE BEEN GREAT - WE'VE BEEN MEGADETH - GOODBYE" Then they finish Holy Wars.

I'm surprise some of you put Iron maiden, Slayer and Zeppelin/Sabbath in the same group of Metallica, Megadeth, etc.
You can say these are good, but the others created the vibe.

Venom is to black metal what Black Sabbath is to hard rock.
Megadeth is to metal what Lady Gaga is to pop music : a great artist in his music domain, but nothing more.
