 most retarded thing i've read on here in ages.

To say LoG are boring/simplistic is reduntant, and shows you are not a musician. As far as PLAYING LoG goes compared to listening to, it's fucking exciting stuff. It really is an incredible way of playing rhythm like a lead guitar. Gone are the days of powerchords, and here is the age of the riff.

If you don't understand it, speak to some musicians about it. You can't argue with 2 of the best guitarists of the decade, plus one of the most almighty drummers in existance. Many people agree - you should understand and I think they will earn more credit than you give them.

.... never before have I read so much irony in one post

you obviously have no real background in metal or music for that matter

2 of the best guitarists of the decade? not even in the top 200

one of the almighty drummers in existence (spelled like this btw)? again not known at all for being an excellent drummer you should listen to bands like Decapitated, Nile, Cryptopsy, or hell even Meshuggah all of them have far better drummers than LoG do

if you honestly think LoG is complex you are really showing your ignorance in metal as a genre

No, I think you are just angry that you don't understand LoG.

Mark Morton is a rhtyhm beast - his technique is superb, and his down picking could possibly be ranked with Hetfield.

You are saying that Adler is NOT a highly rated drummer? Fool.

I have a massive background in metal and music in general so enough of your jibba jabba. If my works filter didn't block youtube, i'd post you some Adler drumming vids and you'd then apologise for YOUR ignorance

clearly you have an extensive background in music when you spell rhythm wrong

also apologize is spelled with a z kiddo

and adler is mediocre at best compared to drummers like Vitek, Kollias, Haake, or Mounier

Meshuggah>
there far more complex than lamb of god if u actually hear the drumming along with the guitar playing its crazy

Meshuggah first attracted international attention with the 1995 release Destroy Erase Improve for its fusion of fast-tempo death metal, thrash metal and progressive metal with jazz fusion elements. Since its 2002 album Nothing, Meshuggah has used downtuned eight-string guitars. Meshuggah has become known for innovative musical style, complex, polymetered song structures and polyrhythms. They were labeled as one of the ten most important hard and heavy bands by Rolling Stone and as the most important band in metal by Alternative Press.

In a typical polyrhythm by Meshuggah, the guitars might play in odd meters such as 5/16 or 17/16, while drums play in normal 4/4.[21] An example of Haake's dual rhythms is a 4/4 and 23/16 rhythm. He keeps the hi-hat and ride cymbal in simple 4/4 time but uses the snare and double bass drums for 23/16 rhythm.[7][31] On "Rational Gaze" (from Nothing), Haake plays simple 4/4 time, hitting the snare on each third beat, for 16 bars. At the same time, the guitars and bass are playing the same quarter notes, albeit in a different time signature, and eventually both sides meet up again at the 64th beat.[25] Hagström notes about the polyrhythms, "We’ve never really been into the odd time signatures we get accused of using. Everything we do is based around a 4/4 core. It’s just that we arrange parts differently around that center to make it seem like something else is going on."[3]
