small story time for this very special track. back in 09, i went to an outdoor event with a few friends. didn't recognize any of the djs performing except for Le Castle Vania, but I was all about trance at this stage in my life :) the problem though was in my state back then, it was extremely rare to find an event playing a big name in trance. mostly, it was filled with dubstep, electro, hardstyle, etc. trance? what is that?? people like that? it was a very different environment from what I hear EU people experienced. so here i am going through the night, having an okay time, but a little disappointed. then right near midnight Simon Patterson comes on. and my ears begin to hear a familiar sound... I started to get really excited when I realized what was happening! it made the wait so much worth it. to say the least, it was a different feeling : )
