Lensherr: I was walking my dog very late yersteday and was in the forest ( it was so dark i could barely see anything before me ) and then this music started in my mp3, yep, I was hunted by a creature of the night for 5 minutes straight:

Haha, my punkass would've changed songs immediately.

I'd really like to hear why you enjoy this album, I've given it quite a few chances but never really had it click for me (Doubt it ever will but still curious).

It's a fine blend of many things that I enjoy in music: fuzz, distortion, dreamy/ethereal vocals both male and female, I dunno. I respect how innovative it was for its time and how (in my opinion) unmatched their sound is twenty-two years later.

So odd, I'm not really much into shoegaze but it has all the makings of something I'd probably really love yet I don't. Would you say they have any other "better"/worthwhile albums? Since all the praise I've ever heard for MBV has been for the single album.

In its own right I think Isn't Anything (1988) is a strong contender for being "better." More or less the same elements that they're known for minus the "wall of sound" approach they took with a majority of Loveless. Definitely a bit darker.

Listened to a couple songs and just meh, actually found myself annoyed by a couple of the ambient noises they had going on. Oh well :P
