I miss the days when Infected put out stuff like this :

After about 2003 their music took a radical shift. Not to say I don't like some of the newer stuff, some of it is really trippy, but nothing compares to the mindfucks of their early works.
Their new vocals are kind of a distraction from their epic soundscapes. I think that's a fine line to walk with psy music though, vocals can make or break it. When you're drifting off to space, sometimes the last thing you want to hear is a human voice bringing your mind back to a logical reality. Their early work was definitely much more goa, a lot less pop sounding. I personally love Converting Vegetarians though I see what you're saying. Definitely from 2003 on they got a more experimental feel going which was either great or terrible in a lot of cases. I even like a lot of IM The Supervisor but I don't know about any CD after that, I didn't even really bother with them after I heard Becoming Insane.
