I miss the days when Infected put out stuff like this :

After about 2003 their music took a radical shift. Not to say I don't like some of the newer stuff, some of it is really trippy, but nothing compares to the mindfucks of their early works.

Their new vocals are kind of a distraction from their epic soundscapes. I think that's a fine line to walk with psy music though, vocals can make or break it. When you're drifting off to space, sometimes the last thing you want to hear is a human voice bringing your mind back to a logical reality. Their early work was definitely much more goa, a lot less pop sounding. I personally love Converting Vegetarians though I see what you're saying. Definitely from 2003 on they got a more experimental feel going which was either great or terrible in a lot of cases. I even like a lot of IM The Supervisor but I don't know about any CD after that, I didn't even really bother with them after I heard Becoming Insane.

Every day I will add one more song from this CD. This CD is, in my opinion, the greatest remix CD I have ever come across. It is Twisted Record's own Ott remixing Hallucinogen, in dub. 6 Hallucinogen tracks remixed into floaty, fat, dubby soundscapes of pure bliss.

This is one of my favorite Aphex Twin songs. The whole Drukqs CD was pretty awesome. I think it's actually a pretty upbeat sounding tune, badass nonetheless.

No doubt it is an acquired sound. I couldn't stand listening from most of the tracks on either Drukqs disc all the way through. Then one night I sat on my grandmother's porch while visiting my home town, got lifted of some west cost feel good and let the music play in my headphones. Druqks might actually be my favorite album now. Some of the specific Analords can't go unrecognized.

Couldn't agree more. You have to have the right ears to enjoy aphex. I just love how half the trippyness of his music is the drum patterns alone, nevermind all the other weird shit you here while drifting to aphex. Good stuff.
