Nah, thats what you don't understand about hardcore shows.
If you show up to support the bands, and you listen to the music, everyone at that show will respect you.
and there are always areas where you wont get hit.
Thats the difference between metal and hardcore.
Hardcore pits stay in the same spot after they get opened, so you wont have to worry about winding up in the center of a pit.
There are always safe spots, just don't stand on the inner edges of the pit, cause hate dancers will hit you, even if your a girl.
But I usually beat those dudes asses if they hit a girl and don't apologize to her, I saw a kid break a girls nose once and his faggot crew was giving him mad props, beat that kids ass.
Hooked can probably vouch that, at least here in Houston, you don't hit girls.

Houston is pretty weak, the "ghettos" have their bad spots like all cities. just stay out of them, i have 100% no use even going there for anything. but Houston has a solid hardcore crowd that most kids here dont ever see. none of them are scene, most of them being older than 21... id say the average is 24ish. they all work day to day jobs and you can tell by them coming to shows in their mechanic suit or coveralls from a chemical plant. i know Tilldeth is from Houston also, but im not sure if hes ever been to walters for a full on texas hardcore show. if he has, he knows what im talking about. otherwise the scene here is fucking gay and i hate it. everyone else is a total douche bag... example being all the kids you will see at the ghost inside show on saturday tilldeth.

plus like ive stated, i think most of the kids that go to a lot of similar shows to TGI are fucking retarded. i was embarrassed to be at the Terror show because of how gay they all were. the only thing that kept my sane was them playing TUI over the loud speaker in the small room (which a buncha kids complained because it didnt have a sudden 2 bpm breakdown) until Terror played.

Maybe I'll try out a show and we'll see what happens I guess. I've heard stories of guys that beat on girls really bad just because theyre girls at hardcore shows and "they should be listening to Miley Cyrus" or some shit. I really don't wanna get beat on like that... but if what you say is true maybe I'll check out a show in LA soon o_o

but we do have a lame crew here that uses a girl as bait. she goes into the pit, someone hits her on accident, then all the 6 xtuffguysx "kick their ass". but they are a buncha pussies.
