While that is Focus' most famous song, it isn't their best.
Have you listened to Focus III or Hamburger Concerto?

Nice, they are great. Are they a well known band? I really never heard anything about them until playing Last.fm radio.

Most likely not well known in the Western Hemisphere. They were really big in the UK in the 70s, but really never here.
I definitely recommend listening to Mirage, The Snow Goose, and Moonmadness (Which you linked). Got all three on vinyl, and it sounds wonderful :)

I read some Opeth interview a while back in which Mikael Akerfeldt cited Camel as a major influence. I've only checked out The Snow Goose, tho. It's great stuff. I should get those other albums.

He specifically was influenced by their s/t album. The s/t isn't bad, not my favorite, but still good.
Mirage takes the crown, imo.
