The Temple of Set is a good society, but they are more towards satanism(I know, it's not real satanism, its atheist/agnostic) as they were founded by brotherhood members of the Church of Satan. Temple of Set also has nothing to do with Odinism. It has been in use with Odinism(as a whole) for quite awhile, and most Slavic paganism for the whole time. You have to understand, I said Nordic paganism, but I was going in the way of Wotanism/Odinism/whatever fucking version you want to call it. Odinism has been using the symbol since our first datings of Odinism.

the split from the COS a long time ago and no they are not based from the COS at all

the COS as you correctly stated is mainly a group of atheists that use Pagan rituals, teachings, and symbols to learn

the TOS is real neo-paganism and many of the TOS members are deeply into the Norse teachings in fact almost all of them are at least part-way Odinists

much more common these days is to do rituals and practice from different forms of paganism from around the world most people in the TOS specifically those in the Esoteric Order of Beezlebub are known to practice odinist rituals as well as egyptian etc etc

and no the swastika was not present when odinism was first created it was brought in from the slavs at a later time

from your limited extent of the norse teachings I'm sure it is true but odinism goes back a lot further than the viking culture but you would have to know where to look to access that information

if you would like I would be more than happy to teach you about your own religion

That is multi-paganism. Yes, it was brought in my the slavs, but it also had its connections to very early records of odinism. I know it goes back farther, but it does no go back much farther with dates, or written down stuff. Like Celtic paganism, we know very little about it, as it was not written down much. The viking era was when it was started to be written down. We found stuff dating from 3rd to 6th centuries AD/whatever you want to use. Here, let me post my edit as I didn't think you'd have responded so quickly.

Don't preach to me about Odinism, when I am active in the Odinic Rite(Full member), and I plan on having my blood spilled for the Odin brotherhood on the 21st of this month at 4:38 mountain time, AKA, the winter solstice. You can only spill the blood to get in on the winter or summer solstice.

We all have differences, like the Ásatrú Alliance and us(Odinic Rite) are pretty much enemies. You practice pan-paganism, I practice a single set of paganism called Odinism/Wotanism/Ásatrú. Hell, you seem like a nice guy, and I'd like to have conversations about paganism, I only talk to about 15(only ones in Colorado springs, I am talking Odin brotherhood, there are some other pagans most likely.) people IRL and 50 people online who practice paganism.

Here's another little fact for all people looking into Odinism, even though most groups try to be apolitical(even though most of us have Else Christensen to think, whom was a race separatist), we still hold Nordic values. One little one, is to get into Valhalla, you had to have fair skin, fair eyes, and fair hair, there were darker Odinists, and they couldn't get into Valhalla, they could get into other heavens(Called Halls in our religion though) though(depends which one).

you do know more than I had assumed just clumped you in with all the other idiots that assume being a viking means being a racist or that the religion in any way supports it

I'm always available to talk about paganism but know this I am not a believer

I am a philosophy major so I am well versed and knowledgeable but I don't believe in the religion/spiritual aspect of t

I'm big on the TOS because replacing the worlds religions as they stand now with an organization such as the TOS would be an invaluable gift to humanity

but as I said I am not a believer in the actual magic part of it I do appreciate the messages and stories and the society which encourages self improvement and education

I am a materialist in the true sense, that is I believe that there is nothing non material, I am also a determinist, for those of you who don't know what that means in a nutshell it means that I don't believe in free will

if anyone would like to have conversations/debates on any philosophical or religious topics I'm always game but this subforum and this topic specifically is not the place so I won't say more here

Premise 1. God is all powerful
Premise 2. God is all knowing
Premise 3. Evil exists
Conclusion. God does not exist
