my friend Austin lives in Houston now and always complains about how shitty the music scene is out there but that might be due to the fact that he's all about the metal. He said metalfest was a tiny joke in Texas I felt bad for him cuz California Metalfest is a huge event out here

Not even close to that here. For every 50 people at a show, we might have 1 or 2 scenies at best. Most of the time there are no scenies, and when there are, they dont start shit. They are simply out numbered. And when the unlucky few do start shit, we usually end it.

give me a list of what you would consider good hardcore bands

don't list anything too mainstream cuz I've heard all of that or if you do pick a known band like American Me, Elysia etc pick a song that you feel is good and not popular enough for someone like me who doesn't listen to hardcore to know

if at all possible try not to let the bpm drop below 50 I'll soon turn off any song that drops that low it just gets too boring for me
