kk I'll search around some more

what is your guys opinion on the ghost inside

personally if you take away the shitty lyrics and the crowd chants they aren't half bad

but with them I can't stand em

they are one of those bands that if they are just on in the background while I'm doing something I can stand but when I actually give them a listen I hate

They're one of my favorite new school hardcore bands. I enjoy the little melodic shit they do, and I really like the lyrics. haha

my biggest discontent with hardcore vs punk is the lack of good lyrics

the lyrics in hardcore are just too simplistic for me and the subject matter is usually stupid like the posicore shit (ofc I'm generalizing there are a few bands that put out solid shit)

someone was telling me the ghost inside is a straight edge band but I've never heard this before is it true or this kid just an idiot?

nothing I've heard from them seems to be edge but then again I don't really listen to them

The kid's an idiot. A few members are edge. I know the vocalist is. As far as I know none of their music is about it, though.

I see

every time I've been at a show that they were at I went outside and didn't watch so I wouldn't really know but ya I've never heard them really reference anything edge in their songs

lots of bullshit christian references though which is kinda weak imo

It sounds like it. Especially in their newer songs. However, when I saw them with First Blood the vocalist said he doesn't believe in God and how the main song that comes off Christian titled "The Conflict" is just about the vocalist and his friend and how they disagree.

I see

I can kinda respect that like I said I don't really dislike the band they just aren't a really good band imo they are decent background noise for working etc

next time I get the chance to see them I might actually watch instead of going to 7 11 and getting a drink

those straight edge for satan kids are pretty funny

What kind of lyrics do you like Monster? Something like Choking Victim or Dystopia perhaps?

I'm a big choking victim fan Dystopia is alright but never got really into them

I like songs that talk about more than just "I'm mad at the world and feel out of place blah blah blah"

bands like Agnostic Front have just awful lyrics all around for instance

bands like Suicidal Tendencies have a little better lyrical content

ST has great lyrics in most of their songs.
