The songwriting talent is what matters most imo.

meh, none of the music is listen to is very technical. i prefer it that way.

Bob Dylan's singing is criminally overlooked.

edit: Plus, he made Like a Rolling Stone, which I think is the best song ever made.

not so much any more. i saw him a couple years ago. it was cool to see such an icon play live but his voice was god awful!

He is a good singer in the same way that Janis Joplin was a good singer. Havens voice is much more comparable to Freddie Mercury's in that they both have a definitive quality to them.

Of course I'm not hating on Bob Dylan, I consider him the best musician ever.

I actually think his singing on "Love and Theft" and Modern Times was surprisingly good. The former is one of his best albums, too.

Definitely agree with this, although I prefer his singing style on the early stuff.

Except for the song "Things Have Changed", which fits absolutely perfectly with his voice.

initially released as a double-A side single with "daytripper"; that proved to be the more popular song.
