Was just looking through that Cosmosis interview again,
>This lead patch has an LFO to pitch with thye intensity controlled by an envelope curve which was delayed. What this means is that after an initial period of no modulation, the pitch mod. starts and gets progressively more intense the longer the note holds.
@_@ That's some interesting technique right there. I did something similar with a patch on my synth, but I never actually programmed it into a sequence, so I never heard what that could actually do. Sounds really cool though, gives it a much more lively texture. The K2000 sounds fantastic in that song though! It's interesting because although it sounds old school, it doesn't really quite sound analog either, like he said. Unique tone there.
Yeah I really want to learn more about the deeper synthesis techniques like that. The K2000 is very well suited for that kind of stuff, I just have to get deeper into it. Right now it's extremely easy to build sounds but creating the more subtle nuances such as what Cosmosis described is really what I'm after. Soon I will be going to New York to learn some skills at a small school called Dub Spot. I've heard really great things about their sound design classes and I'm excited to start applying it to my music.

Just got my Blofeld 10 minutes ago. Oh. My. GOD. This thing is awesome. I've been playing with some wavetables and it sounds amazing. It's extremely digital, and almost kind of cold sounding, but it's extremely hi-def. It can make those shimmering Filteria pads and effects with ease... I think I'm going to love this thing.
Glad to hear it came! Also, glad to hear it sounds amazing. Sounds like a quality purchase, I'm still interested in eventually acquiring one. On the note of pads, you mentioned a bit back that Vibrasphere uses almost exclusively VST pads in their music. Would you happen to know which VSTs they used often? I would love to get a little of that progressive sound going.
Anyway, enjoy your Blofeld, sounds like it's a fantastic synth.
