I really don't mind the Cobalt when they put up bands like TUI and Cruel Hand, it's really fucking awesome that some good hardcore bands make a stop there, it's nice... 15 min drive, it's cool. They also put up a lot of good pop punk, A Loss For Words, Transit, This Time Next Year... stuff like that, it's fun. Twohearts def books good shows I like em a lot.

But yeah they put on some shit metalcore. But the Chain is fucking cool. i go there whenever possible but it's hard as fuck to get a ride out there unless I drive

the Key club is by far my favorite small venue in LA except maybe for the Black Castle

Ventura Theater is also a nice venue but the owners are fucking bitches they treat the bands like shit and don't support the local scene at all so I avoid going there whenever possible

good lord i cannot stand the key club or any of those west hollywood venues.
almost got thrown out of the troubadour for dives, almost thrown out of the house of blues for diving off of the handrailing. these places are not meant for hardcore shows.
i just saw four year strong/comeback kid/whatever at the HOB because i got free tickets, it was full of goobers push moshing and punx jumps and overall just not a good scene.

I don't mind the West Hollywood venues but that's probably because I don't dance or get super into the shows. I'm a little pussy in the back every show haha.. I definitely prefer the chain over anything else at the moment.

But I like the West Hollywood venues better for other types of shows.

that album is epic as fuck.

if i were you just start doing pile ups and letting loose at shows. you dont have to dance but have some fun. it makes the shows sooo much better. no one will hurt you, most kids defend chicks and a lot of the "xtuffx" kids cant hit for shit anyways.

I choose my venues because of sound quality you can bring your own people and atmosphere into it

to me the music isn't about dancing faggots that go to shows just to dance are worse than the scene idiots it does nothing more than dilute hardcore down to chug chug breakdowns and terrible lyrics
