personally I think its the best, but maybe I'm bias..
a lot of the stuff is still underground ground because labels like B9 like to focus on NY, Boston or LA.

the crowds here are a lot more violent than from what ive experienced in Boston areas. its a lot of full contact dancing but no one gets mad because well, they've been hitting people for no reason as well. its a blast.

but if you want a list of up coming hardcore bands here you go:

mammoth grinder
hatred surge

theres a bit more but those would be the ones to blow up within the next year.

you would have liked the SD music scene they kinda of live in LA's shadow so they have a very active and supportive local scene that really gets into the underground

although a lot less bands come out of SD than Houston in the hardcore genre
