Hey guys, thanks for keeping the topic up. I haven't been able to login at all. My house just got rid of AT&T internet, and now we're installing Comcast, but there's been a lot of complications and setbacks, so I haven't had internet for over a week

I'll be posting again in roughly 4 days. What's this I hear about Ott having a new album? How new are we talking? @_@ I wanna hear.
Sorry to hear it man. Hope to hear more from you soon.
As per the Ott album, it's quite new. It was released without promotion by Ott himself, not Twisted. It was pretty underground for that reason. I read that Ott wanted to keep it among people that truly wanted to hear it. He knew that those who would seek it would find it. And he was right! I've not listened to the whole album but it sounds awesome. The production is ridiculous, I found one song ON YOUTUBE that sounded so amazing for anything I've ever heard streaming online, I'll see if I can find that vid again. The only things I've not been sure how to feel about yet are the fact that it definitely has a more acoustic sound to some of the stuff, like he used more actual instrument recordings. Ott has always done this masterfully and it sounds great but I really loved the tight electronic style from Blumenkraft and it's starting to become more apparent that the whole Twisted team is moving in this direction, not just Younger Brother or Shpongle. Also, there's definitely some wobble bass ripped straight from dubstep in some of the tunes. I've always felt that the wobble bass was a good technique used in a lame way so I won't dismiss his use of it right off the bat. However, I'd much rather hear a fat bassline from Ott than a bass wobble. For one, I feel the wobble bass takes up too much space in music, I guess frequency-wise, which is why I feel dubstep production is often very empty sounding in terms of small intricacies that you would find in psy. For this reason it sort of makes me wish I could hear a version without the wobble bass with more room for more Ott spiciness. Overall though, it's a solid album from what I've heard so far but I've decided to take it slow. I'll post some variety of songs off the new CD. It has a lot of styles present in it which is great.
