I'd rather people listen to deathcore, over those kids who call A Day To Remember hardcore. Shit makes me cringe.

I'm trying so hard but still can't get into this stuff :(. This is gonna sound weird but is there any beginner stuff? Take it easy on me though I'm high as a kite, had a long night and haven't gone to bed.

Not really. There's so many different styles of hardcore. Cities like New York, Boston, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Houston, and San Francisco all have different sounds. We all got into hardcore different ways. The only common denominator between all of us (other than Monster666) is that the live experience pulled us in more.

Yeah Ive noticed, it's a cool scene I've seen a couple shows. But just couldnt really get into any of the bands, I guess it's just not my cup of tea. Nothing but respect though.

hey I love shows :(

hardcore is actually really only good live or on as background music I can't just sit there and listen to it because it always ends up with 1 of 2 outcomes

1. it's so simplistic it bores me and I just turn it off

2. it's so simplistic and unoriginal that I start laughing then remind myself to never listen to them again (around 95% of hardcore)

hardcore is a genre pretty much run by the live shows next to none of the artists in hardcore have anything to offer musically it's all about the feel of going to the show and being apart of it

I started with really gay shit like ADTR and Stick to Your Guns and from there I discovered real hardcore. IDK if there's such thing as beginner stuff but I know some hardcore is softer than other hardcore so maybe you should start with the softer stuff. Try Verse, Have Heart, The Carrier, The Effort.
