are you skipping the last few seconds each track? if i completely play a track it scrobbles it, most likely since it simply checks what songs your ipod says it has finished playing.
for me this seems to be the reason

Well of course sometimes I do that, but it doesn't scrobble ANY tracks at all and I updated and shit. Well.. I bet I would have about double the plays I have now if it would've worked, haha.

if not more ;), i mean how can some1 go out of his home without a good amount of music on your ipod and decent headphones.
id rather stay inside then haha
