Alright, I think I've figured out how to make a sucsessful Hardcore band. For any of you struggling to make it big.

Step One -  Band name.. Its gotta be something aggressive, and strong sounding. Like, Bulldozer(Not sure if thats a band name or not, just an idea.) or somthing along those lines.

Step Two - Band mates.. Atleast one of you needs to go to jail for assault or a crime like that.

Step Three - Falls into the band mates section aswell.. A couple of you need to become obese, I suggest the Bassist and Vocalist.

Step Four -  You need a kicker song to open with..Steal all the riffs from Madball - Set it off and change them a bit. Youll be fine.

Step Five - Location.. Move to Boston or New York, so you arent called pouser faggots. Try to become affiliated with one of those tough guy hardcore gangs.

Step Six - Success. Watch the hundreds of dollars a month roll in.

Hmm, you are getting fairly aggressive right now. Maybe you should write a list of possible band names.

you are making it way too complicated

Hardcore can be achieved with 3 simple steps

step 1. find 3-4 other posers that shop at hot topic and are complete tools

step 2. learn to play instruments, it won't be difficult considering the music you will be playing is just detuned guitars doing the same riffs every song and breakdowns. You could learn to play hardcore guitar and bass in a week, the drums would take about a day.

step 3. shitty lyrics, remember to make them as stupid as possible while still keeping your poser punk image prevalent. There are 3 major categories to choose from, the Bro's (just think M/M stickers and nautical stars, the "punkers" (these kids have never heard anything but the misfits and suicidal tendencies, or the deathcore (trying to be metal but can't really play your instruments so fail epicly)

Hmm. I think step 1 should consist of getting a bat to the back of your head.

i dont think you've heard a lot of the bands i listen to brah.

they are not overwhelmed by breakdowns every two seconds like most people think.

even without breakdowns the riffs are overly simple

hardcore in short is all the shittiest parts of metal mixed with the shittiest parts of punk

they want the heavy sound so they used detuned guitars and triggered drums but lack the musical talent to play them well

they want the edge/message of punk but are all posers and have shitty music and stupid messages

perfect examples? American Me, Elysia, Bring me the horizon etc etc

Hardcore influenced "extreme" subgenres of metal, thrash metal is essentially hardcore+heavy metal, so you got the general idea wrong.
It arose as a response to punk and music in general being too soft and pacified. The bands you listed have nothing to do with good hardcore bands like Discharge and Amebix. Hardcore is essentially dead ideologically anyway, now we only have posers and useless imitators.

did you just refer to Bring Me The Horizon as hardcore?
you just lost all credibility
