I wikipedia'd it and so basically he thinks you can't get big, and shouldn't get big by mixing other peoples songs, you should only become big by making your own? And it's kind of true lol, he went a very harsh way around saying it, and I don't agree completely, but mixing other peoples song shouldn't get you as much respect (and doesn't) then making your own song, I'm not saying it shouldn't make you famous because there are some REALLY good DJs out there which I could only dream of being as good as them, and they deserve it
He also claimed that ALL dj's press play. As well as the talent itself being pretty much useless. And okay if Guetta can DJ, I'll respect that. That's IF. He can make himself look like he's dj'n all night long. I've seen multiple videos and pictures of him obviously not DJ'ing considering his equipment isn't hooked up, or he's filming the crowd. Stupid shit like that. And if you're just a producer, who doesn't really DJ. You shouldn't be even putting on shows since you're not doing a show at all. You're just playing a pre-made produced mix. I also have a problem with producers who when they DJ, they only play the songs they produced. I understand, if you pay to see them you should hear their songs, but people forget that when you DJ, you should be Sharing music and creating and molding crazy mixes with old school and new school sounds and send people on a journey through sound. Being a producer/DJ, IS NOT being a rockstar.
