This is pretty doomy as well as from the video game doom. :)

Notice how the doom character with the gun is making the characteristic black metal hand gesture.

Here's an example of the black metal hand gesture, done by Profanatica:

He is using it as an adjective. There are sad rock songs and happy rock songs, get it?

No, I don't. I also don't believe the OP used "depressive" as an adjective. It's the same as when people ask for BRUTAL DEATH METAL \m/ \m/ They think it's a legitimate genre.

No band is "depressive black metal".  That's not a fucking genre, LOL

What a helpful contribution to the thread! Thanks!

What exactly does it take for a genre to become official? I mean other than someone that isn't even a fan proclaiming it's not.

Death Metal is a genre, and so is Depressive Suicidal Black Metal (DSBM). There are enough bands with this style of music to make it a Genre. It can be thought of as an adjective that describes the style of music, but it also describes a legitimate genre. I bet you thiink that NSBM is not a genre, too, do you not?

I'm sorry you're an uncultured fuck who's never heard of the genre.

Even though Burzum is not a depressive black metal band, this song sounds pretty depressive.

I'd say Lost Wisdom was the first depressive black metal song, and not even be joking about it.
