Yes, I hear them. KMFDM is not techno. To understand electro-industrial one first has to understand the post-industrial era that gave birth to industrial dance, electro-industrial, and modern day industrial rock music. These should help explain the definitions and their characteristic differences:

@BebebBurns Coil - Slur
I'd never heard Coil before. I liked the song. Sounds like it was made in a motorcycle garage ;P

@BebebBurns Suicide - Ghost Rider
I own this album. While i appreciate his style, I'd rather not listen to some of his songs like Frankie Teardrop, its a little... unfun. They sure are a classic, I agree.

I do like 90s NIN and most of KMFDM. Turmion Kätilöt sounds alright, though I'm not much into industrial-metal specifically.
Pain sounds like a generic metal band to me to be honest. Sounds like metal with some techno mixed in. I'm just not hearing the industrial-anything in it.

I'll post a kmfdm song:

pain might be a lil more to the metal side than industrial, but they definitely fall within the scope of the genre. heres another of theirs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thS0CTTczOo

yeah i was actual going to post Killing Game by Skinny Puppy but changed it to thrill kill kult at last second :p Skinny Puppy is a bit of a historical figure in the genre. I haven't listened to them much since the 1990s.

O_O

This post makes the baby Jesus cry. =p

Coil was one of the seminal Industrial acts, which included Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson, post-Psychic TV (which, of course, was post-Throbbing Gristle.)

If you ain't know, get to knowin'!

For choonage, I'll throw some Power Noize in to the ring...

artist: W.A.S.T.E.
