but what you said was probably true for the bubble gum pop teenager dubstep thats a whole nother scene and you're probably right about them kids ..
not true if your talking about roots / deep dubstep fans, especially now after watching the genre get raped and gain so many haters by the exploited midrange sound ... true shit is "SYSTEM MUSIC FOR SYSTEM PEOPLE". that said , its all about the music and everybody i met into this side of the scene is very passionate. those kinda fans are the ones out making sure independent labels sell out vinyls a week after release . successful internet (previously pirate) radio stations running 24/7 with live big name djs ... traveling states or overseas to go to proper events like dubwars /deepspace/reconstrvct in NYC .. proper dubstep is ALL about the music ..a lot of dedication in the scene from BIG names who remain underground just like in metal, and they could all probably sell their sound out in a hot second but choose to remain within underground sounds .. yea theres a minority of people out there lurking in the good music for the drugs , but sub dubstep is surely more about the music.. although it is considered by many to be an herbalist music lol that prolly comes from the sound system / reggae dub influence that comes with bass culture .
and as a fan of both genres .... been going to metal shows since i was a younging, dubstep for a some years now .. they should remain seperated
